I haven’t done a Red Hot Read post in way, way too long. Probably because I’ve been focused on the If You Like posts this year. (If you haven’t checked those out yet, please get to it. Some of your favorite authors and readers are recommending authors they LOVE!)
Well, I’ve had a chance to read a few books over the summer—yay, me!—so I want to pass on the deets on those I loved.

Why Crazy Thing Called Love is a Red Hot Read: Seriously, people, where has Molly O’Keefe been all my life? I’ve missed a number of fabulous contemporary romance authors over the past several years because I’ve been so busy writing myself. I could kick myself for missing Molly. CTCL is a reunion story between a pro hockey player and a talk show host. This hero and heroine came from very humble beginnings and were actually married at one point. You talk about some excellent back story! Molly writes nicely (yummily!) flawed characters with just enough baggage. Her humor tickles my funny bone and her love scenes are in my just right spot—hot, but with a few quips and great emotion. If you haven’t picked up one of O’Keefe’s stories, go get your one-click on!
