Why Making the First Move is a Red Hot Read: MTFM is another of the fabulous Carina Press contemporary romances I was able to read last month during our vacation. Believe me, there was lots to love in this book. The heroine, Melanie Gordon, is ambitious and hellbent on climbing the corporate ladder. However, she’s also got some daddy issues and has run from not only a past failed relationship, but also her family. She believes the only thing she can trust is her career. Then Raine Mason comes along and gives Melanie a reason to believe in men again. Only Raine is harboring a big secret that could destroy their budding relationship. I loved the strong-willed heroine and her fears. But I think Raine and his secret is what really pushed this book into the winner pile for me. In addition, Ryan gives us a nice secondary cast of characters, realistic settings, and hot love scenes. Good stuff!
