Why The Hunger Games is a Red Hot Read: Smarty Boy had already read/listened to at least one of the books in this series before he asked if we could read them aloud. It’s an incredibly well written account of a future, dystopian North America. Needless to say, we tore through three books in less than a month. Although this is considered teen fiction, The Hunger Games series has enough action and character development to keep an adult engaged. Believe me, I was the one begging to read more than half the time. Since the movie debuts next week, I recommend you snag this book and read it before grabbing a seat and popcorn at your local theater.
