Some women are addicted to shoes. Not me. I’m a bag slut. Drop me off in a luggage store or, better yet, the ebags.com website, and I can wander around for days. Digging into pockets, unzipping, probing, stroking.
I am still talking about bag shopping. Promise.
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect bag for…well…forever. Only problem is my needs change based on my job, life events, travel schedule. So these days, I’m looking for a bag combo that will take me from the drive to Smarty Boy’s school to airline travel to work on the fly at the baseball field.
Please don’t tell Tech Guy, but I have three bags on order even as I type this post.
More on those bags in a post next week, but I wanted to share my list for what I consider the perfect bag. And I warn you, I’m more about functionality than designer :-).
Kelsey’s Perfect Bag:
- Easy exterior pocket to stow my phone, preferably with a magnetic closure
- Comfortable straps that can be worn over the shoulder
- Exterior drink holder pocket
- Padded pocket for glasses
- Key ring attachment
- Room for iPad and possibly my MacBook
- Open top with zipper or better yet, magnetic closure
- Easy to clean
- Not too deep
- Room for small toiletry bag
- Room for small bag/wallet that can be carried separately with just the essentials
- Room for a spiral, book and crochet/knitting project
- Less than $100
Hmm…could I possibly be asking for too much? What’s your idea of the perfect bag?

Today is World Hypnotism Day. What are the possibilities I could be hypnotized out of my bag addiction? Slim to none.
