Okay, I wrote a letter to Santa earlier this month, asking that the holiday season not begin for another two weeks or so. Then I came up with the bright idea of running The Twelve Days of Christmas posts here at Brain Candy. I’m not a math whiz, but even I know there aren’t twelve Tuesdays and Thursdays in December before the holiday. Which means I’m talking about Christmas already.
Feel free to toss rotten tomatoes and eggplant (or better yet, dollar bills and office supplies) at me because today’s BCB post is the first of the twelve.

I confess to trolling Sierra Trading Post and buying mine for less than half price. Warning though. If you shop at Sierra and sign up for their email updates, you will be inundated.

I love our Keurig, but after spending the summer in a place without single serve coffee makers (okay, without electricity half the time), I came to appreciate the French press. I always thought they were difficult and snooty (like the French – j/k!), but they’re actually easy. Coarse ground coffee, hot water, five minutes and voila, coffee that will put hair on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s waxed chest.

Yes, these heavenly scented candles are made in Tyler, Texas, about an hour away from my hometown. I’m partial to Butter Vanilla, Sour Cream Coffee Cake™ or anything else that smells as though someone (besides me) baked something yummy.
