What’s the name of your latest release and a one-line description of the book?
Southern Fried Blues is a military romance about a redneck rocket scientist and a Yankee lady stranded in the South.

What do you love most about writing contemporary romance?
I love exploring the lighter side of our lives through characters who could live next door. It’s my greatest hope that my readers will relate to bits of their own lives in my books, and that they’ll do it with a smile. Because the world needs more happiness.
What’s the last contemporary romance you read that you loved?
Her Favorite Temptation by Sarah Mayberry. There’s something about a guy with a guitar that makes me swoon.
Reader question from Amy Remus: Do you model characters after people you know?
Sometimes I’ll take a quirk here or there, but I’m more inspired by the situations and experiences I hear about. For example, a friend of mine took a year and toured the world with nothing but a backpack and a general idea of where he might like to go. That sort of adventurous lifestyle (and a conversation with another friend about which of our husbands was more awesome) served as the inspiration for the characters and plot of the series I’m working on now.
