Tara’s Secrets and Spies series has been a long-time favorite of mine. As a critique partner, I’ve loved Tara’s work from day one. She’s absolutely masterful when it comes to turning an age-old phrase on its ear, making it fresh and jaw-dropping. In addition, Tara’s novels are full of heart-pounding intrigue and fiery passion. I’ve learned so much about the Civil War era from Tara’s books. She also weaves witty humor into her novels, which I adore.
I love stories that keep me guessing until the end, and Brenda’s, Through the Smoke, did just that. Set against the backdrop of labor organizing in Victorian England, Brenda’s newest historical is replete with captivating characters, a sensual romance, and a mystery to knock you off your feet.
Jeannie’s new Regency release, Cloaked in Danger, put her on my automatic buy list. She kept me in a constant state of anticipation with her well-crafted characters, vivid setting, and thrilling action.
